Captain's Log — Entry 009 A Captain's Measure
The seas were mostly fair today, though there remains a sore place within the captain's heart.
Some wounds are not made by storms or battle. They come quietly, carried on whispers and rumors, leaving a man to wonder what course is best. Yet despite that ache, I find myself in good spirits and grateful for the voyage ahead.
⚓ The Day's Voyage
Today was a productive day within the workshops of Emberwake Harbor.
A
fter many hours of planning, measuring, and crafting, I completed a new ammunition chest designed to hold 250 rounds of .22 LR along with a speed loader for a Colt King Cobra. It is always satisfying to watch an idea travel from imagination into reality.
I also met with a customer seeking a custom design for a masseter muscle massager. New commissions are always exciting because they present fresh challenges and opportunities to create something useful. The plans have been drawn, and tomorrow will reveal whether these treasures find new homes.
🔨 Treasures Crafted
Today's creations included:
A completed .22 LR ammunition chest capable of holding 250 rounds and a speed loader.
Initial design work for a custom masseter muscle massager.
Continued progress toward building the future of Emberwake Harbor one project at a time.
👨👩👧👦 Crew Matters
My mother underwent another bronchoscopy today. Thankfully, she made it through safely, though not without some discomfort. Seeing her endure these trials reminds me how much strength can be found in those we love.
As for the crew, it remains small, but those who have joined the voyage have proven faithful companions.
Yet troubling winds have reached my ears. Rumors suggest that someone I once considered family may be speaking ill of me behind my back. As a new captain, I find myself wrestling with how to respond.
Part of me wishes to confront the matter directly.
Another part understands that doing so may expose the sailor who shared the warning.
For now, I will let patience hold the wheel.
Not every cannon needs to be fired the moment it is loaded.
🌩 Storms on the Horizon
The greatest challenge before me remains the same:
How do I grow this crew?
How do I inspire more explorers, adventurers, creators, collectors, and dreamers to climb aboard the Disgraced Dignity and sail toward something greater?
The harbor is built.
The sails are raised.
Now I must learn how to call more sailors to the voyage.
💰 Treasure Found Today
Today's treasures were many:
Completing the ammunition chest.
Finishing the design plans for a new customer project.
Taking another step toward improving my health and lowering my blood pressure.
Seeing my mother safely return from her procedure.
These may not fill a treasure vault with gold, but they are valuable nonetheless.
🧭 The Captain's Reflection
Today's voyage taught me an important lesson:
Life is not determined by what happened yesterday.
Nor is it defined by mistakes made in distant waters.
The true measure of a captain is what he chooses to do today to improve his position tomorrow.
Every course correction begins with a single turn of the wheel.
📜 Message to the Crew
To my crew,
Thank you for sailing beside me.
Whether you joined this voyage at the very beginning or only recently stepped aboard, your presence makes this adventure worth pursuing.
May your own ships find favorable winds, and may your treasures be worth the journey required to discover them.
🔭 Tomorrow's Heading
Tomorrow will bring hard work.
The crew and I will be helping improve my father-in-law's plantation and tending to the tasks that keep a harbor running.
My personal objective remains clear:
To continue gaining control of my blood pressure and improve my health one day at a time.
❓ Question for the Crew
What dream are you currently chasing, and how can the captain assist you on your voyage?
Until the next log entry,
Captain Blackinferno
