Captain’s Log — Entry 007

Today the harbor was calm, and the focus of the day was not treasure or voyages—but gratitude.

Mother’s Day had arrived, and I made certain the important women in my life were well cared for. From the galley fires came three meals throughout the day, and every dish was washed by my own hands. A captain may command a ship, but today my role was simple—serve the crew who has always stood beside me.

The wife, the little pirate princess, and I spent much of the day together playing games and enjoying each other’s company. Laughter filled the harbor, and for a time the worries of the wider sea seemed far away.

Even my oldest son, who now sails his own adventure across distant waters, sent a message in a bottle to his mother. Though the seas separate us, it is good to know that the bonds of family remain strong.

But as night settles over Emberwake Harbor, the captain’s mind begins to wander back to the voyage ahead.

There are many tasks waiting on the horizon.

What should be done first?

Which course holds the highest priority?

And perhaps most importantly… how does one recruit more crew for the adventures ahead?

These questions circle my thoughts like gulls above the mast.

A captain must soon secure a worthy prize if this dream is to continue growing. Treasure fuels the voyage, and without it, even the strongest ship can struggle against the tide.

So tonight I rest, hoping that the quiet hours of sleep may bring clarity.

Perhaps by morning the compass will point more clearly toward the next opportunity.

Until the next log entry,

Captain Blackinferno
