Captain’s Log — Entry 004
Today the seas carried celebration.
The captain’s mood was high, for today marked the anniversary of my birth. A rare and welcome occasion upon this long voyage we call life.
T
he morning began with the comforting scents of the galley—sausages sizzling and sweet French toast warming the air of Emberwake Harbor. With a full belly and good spirits, we sent the little pirate princess off to her schooling, as all young sailors must prepare themselves for the adventures ahead.
Once her lessons were complete, the crew assembled for a short voyage. My wife, my mother, the little pirate, and I sailed together to a nearby island tavern. The food was hearty, the service welcoming, and the company—better than any treasure chest could offer.
With the sun beginning its slow descent, we charted a course back toward Emberwake Harbor.
Waiting upon the docks was my brother, ready to keep the celebration alive with games and laughter. Few things strengthen a crew more than shared joy and friendly competition.
But the voyage was not yet finished for the day.
Before the evening settled in, I prepared a grand offering for tomorrow’s gathering—a mighty brisket placed carefully into the smoker, where it now rests and cooks slowly through the night like a treasure patiently waiting to be revealed.
Tomorrow the harbor will be even livelier.
More friends will gather. More games will be played. More laughter will echo across the docks.
And for a moment, the worries of the sea will fade beneath the warmth of good company.
Until the next log entry,
Captain Blackinferno Notre communauté, notre force
