Captain’s Log-Entry #002

Updated: May 6

Today found me weary.

The kind of tired that settles deep in the bones after too many restless nights and too little peace. My OSA has been making the nights rough again, and with it comes that familiar whisper of doubt, wondering whether all this work will amount to anything at all. Still, I keep my chin up. I tell myself that this too shall pass, and that the only way to move the needle of life is to keep pushing it forward, even if only a little at a time.

The day was spent working for my mother and father-in-law so my family and I can keep the table full. My wife and I cleaned the house, and I helped my father-in-law load his truck with bee supers and bee nucs. After that, I picked up my little pirate princesses from school and cooked dinner for the crew. A hard day, but a good one in its own way.

When I found a moment, I turned my hands toward creation. I worked on a barrel designed to hold sticky notes inside, along with a feather pen that fits neatly into a hole in the lid. Every piece will be 3D printed, another small treasure brought into the world one layer at a time.

To my crew and community, I ask only this: trust me to keep searching, building, and charting a grand adventure filled with loot worth finding.

When times grow hard, a captain has no choice but to grow harder. That truth is easier spoken than lived, but it remains true all the same.

And in the days ahead, I begin work on a four-foot model of the Disgraced Dignity, so I can start building 31mm miniatures of the crew who join this voyage.

Until the next log entry,

Captain Blackinferno Notre communauté, notre force
